Will there be fireworks this year?
Yes!  Wilmer Park, after the Block Party on  Friday May 22, 2026

Are there Colonial Costumes available?
We encourage everyone to dress in costume! The festival has some available free of charge for festival attendees and volunteers

When is the parade?
The Tea Party Festival Parade is Saturday, May 23, at 10am down High Street.

When is the reenactment?
The “throwing of the tea” is reenacted at 2pm. It begins at the Main Stage and ends at the Foot of High Street on the Chester River.

What if I’m coming by boat?
There is no “controlled restricted area” to anchor; please avoid anchoring near the Schooner Sultana. The river is open to anchoring and the dinghy dock is free to use. No Water Taxi service available this weekend. For more information, contact the Chestertown Marina Office. 

Are pets allowed at the Festival?
No, pets are not permitted for any days of the festival due to crowds, explosive devices, and safety. Please leave all pets at home.

Where can I find local accommodations?
Washington College is offering suites on campus. Suite of four beds and two bathrooms.
Three nights including eight breakfast coupons. (Up to four people).
